The non-affiliated political fund supports the FBU’s political campaigning without affiliation to any political party.
By choosing this fund, you support:

  • Campaigning on pay, pensions, health and safety, and public services
  • Lobbying politicians and decision-makers on issues affecting firefighters
  • Political activity determined democratically by the union, excluding party affiliation

This option is available to members who wish to support the union’s political work but do not wish to contribute to a party-affiliated fund.

The political fund contribution is 0.03% of a competent firefighter’s pay; the current figure can be found here.
