The FBU is engaged in a legal challenge against fire service employers and the government over the transitional protection arrangements. A procedural challenge was made to the union’s case and this was heard at an Employment Tribunal on 31 May and 1 June. The union successfully argued that the cases were presented in time and that the claimants can bring their claims which will proceed to a hearing.
