Support for the NHS

Conference knows all too well the pressures put on public services, none more so than our NHS. Following years of purposeful and malicious underfunding and degradation, conditions for the Doctors and Nurses (who pulled our country through this pandemic) are at an all-time low, leaving some workers with no choice but to leave the profession they love. This Government continues to lurch further and further to the right and, in doing so, continues to force privatisation on our NHS.

Conference instructs the Executive Council to actively and unwaveringly stand with the NHS and their associated Unions and reaffirm the Fire Brigades Union support by strengthening our ties, nationally and locally, in the spirit of solidarity. An injury to one, is an injury to all.
