Retained recruitment

Conference demands the employment of a full-time member of staff to visit all retained stations for the purpose of recruitment.

Due to the high turnover of RDS staff and the rural location of stations it would be beneficial for the Fire Brigades Union to employ a recruiter to increase membership which would be self-funding due to membership being increased. There is a local concern that there are local strongholds of Fire and Rescue Services Association developing in some rural counties. This post will be reviewed on a yearly basis
