Pay

Conference notes the strategy on pay has been one of constant flux since 2007 and firefighters today are financially worse off in real terms.

The work undertaken to date on expanding the rolemaps has not yet yielded a positive outcome nor an increase in firefighter pay, therefore a new direction is needed to achieve this.

Conference instructs the Executive Council (EC) to devise a new pay strategy, focusing on key areas of work, including but not limited to;

• environmental challenges including water rescue/flood response working with other emergency services
• line Rescue
• MTA/MTFA.

Conference instructs the EC to report back before Conference 2023.
