National negotiations for outcomes from employment tribunals and employment appeals tribunals

Conference recognises the importance of changes in employment law handed down in Employment Tribunals and Appeals which benefit Members and the requirement for employers to implement these beneficial changes within prompt timescales.

Conference instructs the Executive Council (EC) that when these decisions are advantageous to Members, that the EC look to negotiate with employers nationally through the National Joint Council rather than Brigade Officials negotiating locally so that such changes are implemented in a timely and consistent manner.
