Emergency resolution: Israeli aggression targeting journalists

On Wednesday 11th May, Al Jazeera correspondent, Shireen Abu Akleh, was fatally shot during an Israeli Defence Force (IDF) raid on the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank.

Conference is appalled at this act by the IDF to target journalists in pursuit of the suppression of free speech.

Conference calls on the Executive Council to raise this with our political allies and to challenge the oppression of free speech regarding the Israel and Palestinian conflict at home and abroad.
