Coordinated attacks on firefighters safety

Conference notes a coordinated increase in attempts to dangerously degrade safe working practices, policies and procedures that have been developed over decades to protect firefighter safety.

These attempts, commonly attempted through National Operational Guidance documents, compromise safety measures in order to address avoidable issues such as the building safety crisis, often prioritising private industrial profiteering before the welfare of our Members.

Conference instructs the Executive Council to utilise all avenues, resources and opportunities to resist any and all attempts to degrade the safe working practices we have collectively strived to develop and implement.

An attack on one is an attack on all therefore all Fire Brigades Union committees must unify to oppose these attacks.
