Use Of Hard Shoulder On Motorways

Conference condemns any government proposals for the use of motorway hard shoulders as regular carriageways. The removal of hard shoulders puts both members of the public and emergency service personnel at additional risk. Conference opposes these proposals and demands that hard shoulders are maintained for their original intended use.
