Role Maps

This Conference is concerned that there are Fire and Rescue Services across the UK who utilise the common element of WM7 in the NJC agreed role maps of Crew Manager and Watch Manager in order to reduce levels of supervisory management on fire appliances and at incidents. Conference demands that the Executive Council establish a sub-committee as a matter of urgency, to review the lack of recognition in the role maps between Crew and Watch Manager, of the differing operational requirements of the roles highlightedby the Incident Command System, in order to protect levels of supervision on appliances and at incidents.
