Offshore Firefighting

This Conference demands that the Executive Council urgently revise the FBU Offshore Firefighting policy. The introduction of the Maritime Incident Response Group, MIRG, has changed the way the British Fire Service responds to incidents at sea and the FBU must be fully involved in future development of Offshore Firefighting policy. In order to do so our policy needs to respond to the new national arrangements, developments in training and the issues of adequate and achievable insurance cover.
