Text Messaging

This Conference calls upon the Executive Council to carry out a feasibility study into the use of mobile phone text messaging, as an additional means of communicating with our members. This study should consider the cost, and all other practical issues regarding the implementation of this communication medium. A report should be submitted for consideration by the Executive Council no later than 6 months after the close of this Conference. Details of the report, and the Executive Council decision on whether or not to implement this particular measure should be circulated to the members by means of an All Members circular as soon as possible following the Executive Council meeting at which the report is discussed.
