Water Rescue

Despite the astonishing result of the legal challenge made on behalf of Brother Metcalfe in Greater Manchester, this Conference demands that our Employers acknowledge that Fire Brigades Union members are at risk and require proper guidance and training to ensure their Health, Safety & Welfare in regards to operations in or near water. If this guidance and training is not given, then the Fire Brigades Union will support fully any member who may be disciplined as a consequence of refusing to carry out such work.
