Training

Fire Brigades Union Control members are concerned that the increased levels of workload, the introduction of new technology and proposed implementation of new policies will have a detrimental effect on the training practices of Brigades. This Conference calls for all Officials and members of the Fire Brigades Union to take all actions necessary to ensure that no equipment is brought into service and no new or amended procedures are implemented until all staff have received adequate information, instruction and training in line with the Health & Safety at Work Act Section 2(2)(c) and Control members are confident with the equipment procedures and the fallback arrangements.
