Continual Professional Development Scheme

This Conference demands that the new Continual Professional Development Scheme payments are clarified and a national framework is put in place before the Long Service Increment payments are reduced in 2006. In addition and in light of proposed changes to the Firefighters Pension Scheme and Local Government Pension Scheme, we call on the Executive Council to ensure that any payments under the Continual Professional Development Scheme are covered by the definitions of pensionable pay.
