Institutional Racism

Following the BBC Documentary "The Secret Policeman" which clearly highlights Institutional Racism within the North Wales Police Force, this Conference demands that the Executive Council reiterates to the Fire Service Employers, the general duty of all Fireauthorities to monitor: 1. Unlawful Race Discrimination. 2. The Promotion of Equality of Opportunities. 3. The promotion of good relationships between people of different racial groups. With a view of highlighting this issue to Chief Officers and Chief Fire Masters of the British Fire Service. A progress report to be reported back to the B&EMM Annual General Meeting 2004.
