National women's school workshop credit Jess Hurd

There’s so much going on just now that affects women in the Fire Brigades Union, the Fire and Rescue Service and in wider society.

Women’s School is the place to get involved, have your say in your union, and find out how to make a difference on a wide range of issues and campaigns.

This year’s school will have speakers, discussion groups, activities, workshops and recreational sessions.

There’ll be something for everyone, whether you’ve been involved in the union for a while or you’re brand new and want to find out what’s happening:

  • Understanding the union
  • Health and safety for women
  • Maternity rights and policies
  • Positive action vs positive discrimination
  • Sexual harassment - from silence to justice
  • Campaigning and making a difference
  • Understanding what ‘organising’ means in the FBU (in particular women’s organising)

For more information about Women's School you can email your RELO or [email protected].
