About the FBU Political Fund
The FBU’s political fund enables the union to campaign on issues that directly affect firefighters and fire and rescue staff. This includes pay and pensions, health and safety, union and employment rights, and the defence of public services.
Trade unions have always had to act politically to secure changes in law and policy that impacts on members and their industry. The political fund provides the means for the FBU to engage in this activity on behalf of members, in line with decisions made democratically by the union.
