Death of member - Bro Ian Batchelor
It is with regret and sadness that I have to inform you of the death of our member, Bro. Ian Batchelor.
Bro. Ian Batchelor (Leicestershire), passed away on Saturday 13th January 2024 after a brave battle with cancer.
Ian, who was 61, joined Syston Fire Station as a retained firefighter in August 1989. Ian then became Watch Manager within the training department. Ian had been an FBU member for 34 years.
He leaves his wife Wendy and two grown up children, Wayne and Lee.
