Dear Brother/ Sister

Revised pay offer: Consultative ballot

The hybrid consultative ballot on the revised pay offer of a 7% increase in pay and CPD backdated to 1 July 2022 and a 5% increase in pay and CPD from 1 July 2023 commences Monday 20th February and concludes 2pm 6th March 2023, there are two options available to members in order to cast a vote.

  • Online
  • Postal

Email link to vote online

Emails with a link to vote online will be sent from Popularis the independent scrutineer, to the email address that the union holds for you on the FBU membership system. This will commence Monday 20th February 2023.

If you have not received an email from Popularis there may be two reasons:

  • You have not previously provided the FBU with a home email address
  • The email sent to you has gone to your email Junk Folder so please check your Junk email folder for an email from Popularis

Paper Ballot to home address

A ballot paper will also be sent to your home address.

The envelope containing your ballot paper states in the top left corner ‘Fire Brigades Union – Ballot Enclosed’ members should monitor their postal deliveries for this letter.

The ballot paper has two options:

  1. to manually record a vote and return the ballot paper in the pre-paid envelope provided
  2. use the link provided on the ballot paper to login online and vote using the secure pin number provided on the ballot paper

Members should allow several days in order to receive a postal ballot paper. If members have not received a ballot paper (or email) by Friday 24th February they should email [email protected] their:

  1. Name
  2. Membership number (if known)
  3. Home email address
  4. Full postal address

This ballot is a ballot of Grey Book members and North West Fire Control members.

MEMBERS MUST NOT VOTE TWICE – If members return a vote by both post and internet their vote will be spoilt.

The Executive Council recommends that members vote – ACCEPT
