Dear Brother / Sister,
Death of Member – Brother Daniel Kidner (Region 7 – West Midlands)
It is with great sadness and regret that I have to inform you of the death of our member, Brother Daniel Kidner, who sadly passed away on 31 July 2022.
Daniel served as a firefighter for West Midlands Fire Service at Bilston white watch, and was well-liked and well-respected by his peers.
Daniel served with the armed forces for 6 years with the 1st Battalion, the Rifles in Beachley Barracks in Chepstow, and spent 4 years with the 16 Air Assault RLC in Colchester garrison. He completed a tour in Afghanistan and exercises abroad, including in Kenya and the USA.
Daniel leaves behind his two children, Jamie aged 11, and Sofia aged 8, and his wife Victoria. He also leaves behind his mother Judith and his father Joe, plus his two sisters, Donna and Jodie. Sadly, Daniel’s son Farley passed away unexpectedly in April 2021. Everyone in the FBU sends Daniel’s family, friends and colleagues our heartfelt condolences and solidarity at this incredibly sad time.
