We deserve better: We need a pay rise
The Trades Union Congress (TUC) has called a demonstration in London on Saturday 18 June. The TUC calls on all affiliated unions to attend to support the call for a change of direction from central government.
We need investment in our public services. We need a pay rise.
Key workers, including FBU members, have helped to protect our communities during the Covid pandemic. Yet now, we face further attacks on our living standards as the cost of living crisis takes hold and inflation undermines our living standards.
The Prime Minister applauded key workers during the worst months of the pandemic but now we see no serious action to address the cost of living crisis. This demonstration is part of building a movement to demand a change of direction: we deserve better: We need a pay rise.
FBU brigade and regional committees will be organising attendance at the demonstration. Please try to attend. Contact local officials for local details.
