Dear Brother/Sister
As reported in circular 2012HOC0352MW our members in Essex are now engaged in a campaign involving strike action to oppose cuts in the Service, defend Grey Book conditions and to demand compliance with nationally agreed mechanisms for resolving disputes. We continue to seek a resolution to this dispute and talks are continuing. However, at the same time the principal management team appear intent on further confrontation and continue to attempt to intimidate our members by the use of excessive discipline.
We urge all FBU members to give full support to our members in Essex. As part of this campaign there will be a demonstration and rally on 18 July. Members from other Brigades are urged to attend. The details are as follows:
