ETUI-REHS Health and Safety Department

Undertakes support and expert appraisal missions for the ETUC in the fields of safety, hygiene and protection of health in the working environment. It leads networks of trade union experts in various areas, carries out studies and research and organises conferences and seminars as well as specific training courses.

Public Service Not Private Profit

A joint union campaign against the privatisation of public services. Too often this has led to a decline in workers terms and conditions and even the loss of their job, as private companies put savings over quality public services.

The campaign was launched in 2006 with a rally and mass lobby of parliament attended by over 2,000 campaigners. There have since been packed local meetings across the country with speakers including trade union leaders and politicians.

Labour Research Department

The Labour Research Department provides news and information for trade unionists. LRD has a long history and remains the leading source of up to the minute news and information for trade unionists. LRD was set up in July 1912 as a Committee of Enquiry into the Control of Industry

Working Class Movement Library
