Justice for Firefighter Pensions

The FBU is calling for the Department of Communities and Local Government to change highly detrimental guidance on ill-health retirements for firefighters. 

Out of Control

The FBU is campaigning to stop the regionalisation of the UK’s emergency fire control rooms in order to protect the jobs and health and safety of FBU members, and the public.

Attacks on Firefighters

There are 40 attacks on UK fire crews every week and the problem is getting worse. The FBU is campaigning for Government, the UK fire and rescue service and other stakeholders to tackle to problem.

Off the Run

The FBU is working to highlight the enormous problem of the recruitment and retention of firefighters on the retained duty system as part of a broader campaign for proper funding for, and equal treatment of our retained membership.

NO2 Fire Deaths

The FBU is campaigning for proper integrated risk management planning combining the most effective mix of prevention, detection and intervention measures aimed at securing Zero Fire Deaths.
